Assistant Account Manager
Artistzen is a boutique Business Management firm that provides accounting, tax, cash flow management, and insurance guidance for musicians and bands.
We are seeking a full-time Assistant Account Manager to join our collaborative team. This position will be a remote-work position with occasional in-person gatherings so a home office set-up is imperative. The position is progressive in that it begins with one skill set only and after mastery of that skill set, another will be added on until the person achieves full Account Manager status.
Responsibilities
Payables - Oversee and coordinate accounts payable and accounts receivable
Expense Bookkeeping - code all expenses according to tour or album categories; Manage receipt intake process
Budgeting -update touring itineraries using integrated Google sheets, update Quickbooks classes, and create budgets accurate to each clients touring operations
Income Bookkeeping and Reconciliation - use OpenRoad software to reconcile tour accounting and import into Quickbooks.
Recordings - use Google sheets and pivot tables to convert raw data files from distributors into usable accounting entries
Reports - Generate PDF reports for client review
Cash Flow - Update complex Google sheets with multiple active projects and future cash flow projections
Qualifications:
Persistent attention to detail
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Leadership experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Works well with deadlines
Preferred skills:
Experience with Google Sheets and/or Excel
Music industry experience
Accounting experience and/or understanding of the fundamentals taught in Financial Accounting.
Quickbooks experience
Responsibility statement:
Accounts Payable - 40%
Bookkeeping - 40%
Budgeting - 7.5%
Reports - 7.5%
Misc assistance - 5%
Required Education: Bachelor’s or equivalent
Compensation:
This position starts at $40,000 with the opportunity to increase up to $50,000 within the first 18 months based on skill sets mastered. This can be negotiable if you come into the position with experience in both accounting and music industry.
