Job Description We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join in supporting a prestigious government project. The ideal candidate will be involved in analyzing and characterizing large datasets, creating insightful data visualizations, and identifying patterns indicative of abnormal or noteworthy behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and interesting behavior.
- Develop and implement algorithms in cloud environments, contributing to advancing our analytical capabilities.
- Collaborate with a team to design and create data visualizations that convey findings.
- Engage in cyber domain analysis and discovery operations, leveraging data to support security measures.
Requirements Position Requirements:
- Proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with analytic development within the Linux environment.
- Familiarity with DataFrames using Pandas or Spark.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of PySpark and distributed computing.
- Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and Master's degrees from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, computer science).
- Five years of experience in dataset analysis and analytics development.
- Five years of programming experience with data analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SAS, MATLAB).
- Additional experience in software development, cloud development, dataset analysis, or developing analytics may substitute for the Master's degree requirement.
- A Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline may substitute for three years of experience.
