Brown Wegher Residential is seeking an Interior Designer help guide clients through their new home build process. The Interior Designer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong time management, communication, and client service skills. This position would be located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
* Responsible for meeting with buyers/clients prior and throughout the building process and guiding them in their interior and exterior selection process.
* Accurately transfer customer preferences with strong presentation.
* Review estimate, budget, read, and understand blueprints, details, and translate budget.
* Responsible for understanding styles, preferences, creating layouts and getting needed information to subcontractors for ordering of selected materials.
* Track selections and communicate with project manager to ensure the project is within budget.
* Meet with buyers/clients to select exterior/interior colors and materials, plumbing and electrical fixtures, and cabinets.
* Meet with project managers regularly throughout the building process to ensure the highest quality of products and services are provided to the customer.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
* Good knowledge of MS Office.
* Familiarity with construction / project management software
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
* Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills.
* A team player with leadership abilities.
**Education and Experience:**
* 1-3 years relevant experience; or the equivalent of education and experience to meet the essential functions of the position.
