Job Description

Insight Global is now looking for a motivated Engineering Technician for one of our largest technology clients in the Bay Area. In this role, you will be faced the challenge of providing a test-bed for developers to test software on various hardware before releasing them. Additionally, collaborate with Infrastructure Engineers, installing and maintaining Windows/Linux platforms and using creativity while finding solutions.

Pay rate is between $45-$65 based on skillset and years of experience.

Required Skills & Experience

4-6 years experience with Linux

Associates or Bachelors Degree in a Tech related Major or 4+ years of equivalent experience in a Lab or Datacenter environment.

Basic user level understanding of Unix/Windows, and Networking with Enterprise Switches and Routers.

Ability to do deploy and cable servers and test equipment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Visio and CAD experience for Lab R&D projects and Rack Management

Lab/Datacenter Procurement Experience

Ability to write SQL queries to get data from MySQL DBs

Experience with handling PDUs and Power in Labs
